Datablocks Charts Are Powered by TradingView
Every price chart you see inside Datablocks is rendered by TradingView, one of the most widely used charting platforms in finance. This page explains what that means, why we made that choice, and gives TradingView the explicit credit they deserve.
Charts powered by TradingView
When you open a token page on Datablocks, the candlestick chart loading beside the on-chain metrics is not a custom-built widget. It is powered by the TradingView charting engine, the same technology that drives charts across hundreds of brokers, exchanges, and data platforms worldwide.
The integration is not cosmetic. TradingView's engine handles rendering, zoom, scroll, crosshair, and interval switching. That means you get a familiar, high-performance chart with no learning curve, alongside the on-chain data layers that make Datablocks useful: smart money activity, holder concentration, wallet flows.
On-chain analytics adds context that price alone cannot give you. But price is still the bottom line, and the chart that shows it should be best-in-class. Pairing TradingView's rendering with Datablocks' on-chain intelligence is how we achieve both. For a deeper look at why on-chain data matters, see the On-Chain Analytics guide.
What Advanced Charts is
Advanced Charts is TradingView's embeddable charting library for third-party platforms. It exposes the same professional chart engine available on TradingView.com, including candlestick, bar, and line chart types, multi-timeframe support from one-minute to monthly intervals, drawing tools, and technical indicators, all through a clean API that developers can embed into their own products.
Advanced Charts is not the lightweight widget version. It is the full library, designed for platforms that need professional-grade charting without building a rendering engine from scratch. The distinction matters: you are looking at the same chart quality that professional traders use, not a cut-down alternative.
Key capabilities the library brings to Datablocks:
- Multi-timeframe data: switch between 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 1d and more without reloading.
- Drawing tools: trendlines, horizontal levels, Fibonacci retracements.
- Technical indicators: RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, volume, and dozens more.
- Smooth rendering: hardware-accelerated canvas rendering handles dense tick data without lag.
Why we chose it
We evaluated several charting options before integrating Advanced Charts. The decision came down to three things.
Reliability. TradingView's library is battle-tested across thousands of deployments, from retail trading apps to institutional platforms. Bugs in chart rendering are rare, and when found, fixed upstream. We ship improvements to our users without maintaining a charting engine ourselves.
Familiarity. Most people who trade or research tokens have used TradingView at some point. The interactions (pinch to zoom, click to draw, scroll to pan) are the same. There is no mental model to rebuild when you switch between TradingView and Datablocks.
Focus. Building and maintaining a high-quality charting library is a years-long engineering effort. By using Advanced Charts, we keep our engineering focused on what is unique to Datablocks: smart money identification, wallet tracking, on-chain concentration analysis, and DEX flow aggregation. TradingView handles the charting so we can stay focused on the on-chain analytics.
The alternative, building in-house, would have produced an inferior chart at significant cost, while solving a problem that TradingView has already solved well. When a best-in-class solution exists, using it is the right call.
Attribution and credit
Datablocks uses TradingView Advanced Charts under the terms of their library license, which requires platforms to display a visible credit to TradingView.
We are glad to do that, and to go further than the minimum. TradingView has built something genuinely excellent. The Advanced Charts library is mature, performant, and well-documented. Integrating it took days, not months, and the result is better than anything we could have shipped on the same timeline from scratch.
Thank you, TradingView. The charts in Datablocks are better because of your work.
If you are a developer or data platform looking for a professional charting solution, we have firsthand experience with Advanced Charts and recommend it without reservation.
